Dear Friend of the Arts,

My name is Jason Robert LeClair, and I’m proud to be the Theatre Director at Beacon Charter High School for the Arts in Woonsocket, where I have the pleasure of working with a dedicated and passionate group of theatre student artists. Our theatre arts program has received national and local recognition, and is a well-known for its professional level, high-quality performances. Our program is also affiliated with the distinguished International Thespian Society, an organization that honors student achievement in theatre. Beacon is a non-profit institution, we depend on community support to fund our performances and our community outreach programming. With that said, I’m writing to ask you to consider sponsorship, advertising, or donating to Beacon’s Theatre Arts program, so that we can continue bringing the community together to celebrate theatre arts, and to showcase the hard-work and talents of our student artists.

To give you an idea of our program’s reach, we typically have approximately 60 students involved in a single show, that is a quarter of our school’s student population. Beacon’s student artists hail from 22+ towns and cities across the state, giving potential sponsors and advertisers an expansive target audience.  Every year, we put together three main stage productions with multiple performance dates for each show. This year to widen our reach, we’re expanding our Peer to Peer Shakespeare program. This initiative, started three years ago, allows for students from all over the state to see our Shakespeare performances for free. We are also working toward bringing this program out for the public and to other schools.

Enclosed here is our support form with sponsorship and advertising options, as well as an option for monetary donations. Any contribution you make to our program is tax deductible, and will support our continued efforts to bring theatre arts to the community. If you’d like to support us, please fill out the enclosed form and return it to:
